CEREC® technology enables patients to be in and out of the office with beautifully made, custom all-ceramic crowns completed in one visit. In comparison to traditional crowns, CEREC® single-visit crowns require patients to undergo fewer injections and take less time schedules.

CEREC® single-visit crowns can be created so efficiently and accurately thanks to advanced computer technology. Using this system, together we can actually view your teeth on a screen while the restorations are being created. A digital camera captures optical images of your mouth and delivers them to a computer, where 3D images enable our doctors to see all aspects of the teeth. With on-site CAD/CAM technology we transfer the information to our milling unit which precisely fabricates the missing part of your tooth in ceramic. We have different materials of ceramic depending on the strength and esthetic demands of the area of the mouth in question.

Once the ceramic CEREC restoration is custom shaded to create an exact match to the adjacent teeth, it is bonded in place. The bonded cement creates a more durable restoration and also minimizes potential sensitivity. Moreover, because CEREC® restorations are bonded to teeth, they expand and contract with changes in temperature, which prevents cracking and breakage from occurring.

CEREC restorations are used in most cases to achieve a longer lasting and more esthetic restoration than any other material in dentistry; from a simple one surface filling to a full crown and even veneers.
